On Thursday (May 5), things went full “Kramer v. Kramer” on “Grey’s Anatomy.” As Meredith’s (Ellen Pompeo) nanny, I routinely take care of Callie (Sara Ramirez) and Arizona’s (Jessica Capshaw) adorable daughter, Sofia. Honestly I’m a little upset that I wasn’t called as witness during the hearing. I know Sofia better than Callie’s girlfriend … but as usual, everyone forgets I exist.

The most shocking conversation in my opinion happened between Callie and Meredith as they stayed up late drinking tequila.
“Go home and see your kids,” Callie says to Meredith.
“They’re with Maggie and Amelia,” she answers.
What a hoot! I’m giving baby Ellis a bath while begging Bailey and Zola to eat at least four chicken nuggets for dinner. At least her half-sisters helped me out with the laundry before they headed out to Joe’s for the evening!

Arizona’s lawyer sure did dig into Meredith as she testified on behalf of Callie. She asked about life as a single mother, and the team of other single mothers that help each other out.”It takes a village,” Meredith says. Newsflash: that “village” is actually just me. My multi-tasking nanny skills are that good.
Then Callie’s lawyer really digs into Dr. Webber (James Pickens Jr.), and the entire trial took a turn for the ugly. But it was everything I’ve been trying to tell audiences since I first started these blogs!
These doctors and surgeons of Grey Sloane Memorial are never home. They are admirable heroes that save lives daily, but their high stress professions also keep them from being full-time, or even half-time parents. But, that doesn’t mean that they aren’t fit to be parents at all. After-all, they have me.
Sheesh, can’t we just go back to the good old days?
No.
In the end, Arizona wins full custody of Sofia. I’m happy that Sofia gets to stay in Seattle. It would be awful to take her away from her friends at school and all her adopted “Aunties” and “Uncles” at Grey Sloane. But this situation is far from over. Callie is absolutely devastated. She’s been locked in the guest bedroom at Meredith’s house since the trial ended. I doubt she’s going to give up this easy.
