"Saturday Night Live" honored Mother's Day with host Brie Larson on Saturday (May 7). The women of the NBC comedy sketch paid tribute to classic "Mom hair" with what they refer to as: "the cut." In the sketch, Larson is being thrown her first baby shower and all the ladies inquire as to when she will start "becoming a true mother,"for which they are really asking when she will get "the haircut that all moms have."
"I don't think that look is for me," Larson says.
What kind of hairstyle are these women talking about? "It looks like you were going to a formal event but on the way you got struck by lightning!" Vanessa Bayer says.

But Larson hasn't even thought about cutting her hair and questions when or if she will ever need to get such a hairstyle.
"One day something will break inside of you, and you will know its time to get 'the cut,'" Sasheer Zamata says.

"The cut finds you in different ways," Aidy Bryant ominously says.
Larson is on the fence but then when one of the women's son runs through the living room, the young soon-to-be mom is thrown in an existential tizzy for all to see. "The cut is upon us," Kate McKinnon says.
"Oh my God, I love it!" Larson exclaims the moment her hair magically transforms into the short spiky do. Soon-to-be moms everywhere, prepare yourselves!
