‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Season 12 finale: Meredith’s nanny reveals Jo’s secret

I’m finally done! Well, I’m not really done, but after Thursday night’s (May 19) Season 12 finale episode of “Grey’s Anatomy,” audiences will understand that my much needed vacation from being Meredith’s nanny is long overdue.

I love working for Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) and her sisters from different misters Maggie (Kelly McCreary), and Amelia (Caterina Scorsone), but my God … why do weddings turn everyone into an emotional psycho? While the girls ran off in the rain to get Slurpees at 7-11 — and didn’t even think to me bring me one back — I was taking care of all of the real children in the bridal suite.

Baby Ellis was running a fever, so after giving her some Benadryl, she was out like a light. Zola was understandably throwing a fit for not getting to be flower girl, and to keep Bailey from fussing, I allowed him to play video games for way longer than his usual allotted “I-Pad fun time.”

Amelia (who looked stunning by the way) finally said, “I do” to Dr. Hunt (Kevin McKidd) but this day … excuse me, this “Family Affair,” as it was called … was the most insane day.

Amelia's wedding on 'Grey's Anatomy'

Blame it on pregnancy brain, but April (Sarah Drew) left the rings at home, and while she went to get fetch them, her water breaks. Currently suspended and still fighting with his wife over the whole Code Pink debacle, Dr. Ben Warren (Jason George) went into superhero mode. He not only delivered a healthy baby girl via what looked like the most painful emergency C-section ever — I swear to God, after seeing that I’m never having kids of my own — he also saved Dr. Keppner’s life.

That man is a godsend. Did you see the way Bailey (Chandra Wilson) apologized and thanked him with that I’m-so-sorry-I-ever-doubted-you hug at the end? That’s some fierce love, people. I can’t even be mad that after the wedding, I had to run and pick up Tuck from soccer practice. I knew they’d forget.

So, yay! Another baby to add to the brood of Grey-Sloane Memorial kids I get to look after while their parents perform surgeries while manning the ER overnight. Can’t anyone get pregnant by someone that isn’t also a doctor? Apparently, not. I mean, you saw the sexy bedroom eyes Dr. Nathan Riggs (Martin Henderson) was giving Grey at that wedding. I pray doubt she’ll have a fourth child, but those two are definitely going to be spending a lot time together this summer.

Grey and Riggs making out

Hopefully, they’ll be honest and squash Maggie’s baby crush on Riggs early. But we already know they won’t, right? This is “Grey’s.” Things will most likely boil up to a huge sisterly fallout. But I find the idea of two incredibly smart women fighting over a man way beneath them, and hope that it doesn’t happen.

Lastly, we need to discuss Jo (Camilla Luddington) and Karev (Justin Chambers). Ugh … just thinking about it makes me so angry — I’m literally ranting to Zola’s Carebear, aka Grey’s nanny cam. Meredith thinks I don’t know that it exists, which is ridiculous because I know everything that happens under this roof. I know she never has the time to actually watch any of these tapes … so, I vent to the nanny cam Carebear. Honestly, it’s quite therapeutic.
