“Go pick cotton, bitch,” Jenna’s friend says over video chat on Thursday night’s (May 26) penultimate episode of “The Real Wold: Go Big or Go Home.” Already despised by her seven roommates for the consistently racist and homophobic, Jenna puts flame to the fire while loudly FaceTiming with an even more racist friend for all to hear. Jenna’s laughter fills the room while her friend from South Carolina calls CeeJai’s hair “nappy,” and her personality “ratchet.” After the off-color remarks, Ceejai’ finally loses it.

After weeks of trying to educate Jenna that the things she says are hurtful, and trying to be understanding of her painful naivete, Ceejai’ breaks. With the force of a tornado bursting through the balcony of their Vegas penthouse, CeeJai’ “beats the shit out of Jenna,” as Kailah describes to Dione, who had missed the whole debacle while out doing God knows what.
There were only three days left before filming ended, but the tension building between Jenna and CeeJai’ was bound to come to a head. Afterwards, CeeJai’ tearfully admits violence is never the answer and is ashamed of her split decision reaction. “I’ve never been tried so hard in my life,” she laments. A truly profound statement coming from someone who watched her father murder her mother, and then get killed himself.
MTV has no choice but to kick CeeJai’ out of the house. Jenna also gets kicked out for the fight she started last week. That’s one week too late, MTV producers! Finishing out her confessionals with a massive shiner on her right eye, Jenna admits what her friend said is racist, but doesn’t understand why she should be punished for something she didn’t even say.

After 31 seasons, “The Real World” continues to be an interesting social experiment of seeing what happens when “strangers move into a house, and stop being polite.” However, the only roommate that seems to have truly blossomed this cycle was Sabrina. After meeting her birth mom for the first time ever, and getting the chance to reveal her talent as a singer to the world, viewers watched Sabrina emerge towards that stage in her life in which she’s actually comfortable in her own skin.
As for “Jungle Boy” Dione, quiet Dean, party-girl Kailah and — the so weird, there’s no adjective to describe the man — Dylan, they remain unchanged. Chris was a dope human before he started the show, and remained true to himself throughout filming. CeeJai’, while a powerfully positive light for everyone else on the show, unfortunately became the worst version of herself. Finally Jenna, as Kailah pointedly says, remains to be “everything that is wrong in America.”
