A bonus two hours of “The Bachelorette” aired on Tuesday night (June 7), so viewers assumed that something epically dramatic was about to go down. With previews showing bloody noses and beat up faces, it seemed like bad boy Chad was finally about to go H.A.M. on his fellow contestants. But, no … erectile dysfunction doc Evan busted his nose jumping into the pool like an idiot, and James Taylor had blood rushing down his face after being hit by a football.

The best part of this extra episode was watching JoJo Fletcher’s solo date with the ruggedly handsome Texas farm boy, Luke. After a steamy makeout session in the hot tub, he opens up to JoJo with a backstory that would make any woman’s heart melt and panties drop.
Luke was a former football star at an Ivy League school before joining the army and becoming a platoon leader in Afghanistan. Things took a major turn after Luke lost his best friend in battle, but at the same time, this tragedy taught him what’s truly important in life and helped him live so confidently in the now.
Oh, and look at him dressed as a fireman …
Listen up, JoJo. Contractual responsibilities aside, it might be time to call it quits on this season and give Luke — who seems to have materialized straight out a Nicholas Sparks’ novel — the final rose. Even former “Bachelorette” Ali Fedotowsky thinks he’s the one.
Luke will at least make it to the Top 3. Then, his make it or break it moment will play out at the hometown date. JoJo might find him to be a little too small town, possibly lacking the sparkling energetic personality for which JoJo exudes. But fear not, Luke. There are already zillions of women lining up to be your Plan B. This soulful southern gentleman will not end up lonely.
At the end of the episode, JoJo takes enemies Alex and Chad on a very awkward double date. “Have you threatened anyone in the house,” JoJo asks Chad point blank. Chad says he was provoked, but Alex interjects that Chad told Jordan that he would find him and “beat his ass.” All true, and JoJo is not having it. No girl wants a violent man… or one that takes bathroom selfies.
The episode ends with a “To Be Continued … ” that makes it very unclear if Chad was sent home for good or not. Did he really walk back to the house from the woods just to bang on the door like crazy person? What exactly is happening, here? Audiences will have to wait two weeks to finally find out.
“The Bachelorette” will return on Monday, June 20 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
