Lifetime’s hit drama series “UnReal” doesn’t have its Season 2 premiere until June 6, but fans can get their pseudo-reality TV fix by watching its spinoff, “The Faith Diaries,” on the network’s online site. Lifetime’s first scripted digital short series focuses on Season 1 fan -avorite Faith (Breeda Wool), who’s been offered a modeling gig in Los Angeles after her memorable appearance on “Ever After.”

Faith travels to the “big city” with her girlfriend “friend … but maybe more than friends?” Amy (Malea Mitchell), and per the expert advice of Rachel (Shiri Appleby), she keeps a video diary as she navigates her way through Hollywood. Keeping with the meta touch that makes “UnReal” so addicting, Rachel tells Faith that this could potentially be a spinoff series. Even though Faith finds it incredulous that anyone would be so interested in her life, this small-town girl is not one to turn down a new adventure.

'The Faith Diaries' - Faith (Breeda Wool)

As two naive fish out of water, Faith and Amy realize the hard way that real life in Hollywood is just as fake and absurd as the time spent filming “Ever After.” However, watching these two women break apart, and find their way back to each other is a binge-watching delight that goes down like a sleeve of Oreos.

Rachel was on to something. Faith could and should have her own series. Here’s hoping these digital shorts are merely a trial run for a real full-length “UnReal” spin-off.

All 10 episodes of “The Faith Diaries” are available to watch at MyLifetime.com and via Hulu.
