The Academy of Country Music Awards isn’t known for being a seriously fashion forward event, but the dresses that walked down the 2016 red carpet were some show-stopping gowns. They were far better than anything seen at the 2016 Academy Awards. From Nicole Kidman to Carrie Underwood, the attendees at the annual awards ceremony held live at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas were not messing around.

Of course, not that all the dresses at the 2016 Academy Awards were ugly. There were a few stunners from Saoirse Ronan’s sparkly green dress to Alicia Vikander’s “Beauty and the Beast” inspired gown but overall, it was a pretty lackluster night, especially compared to the stunners seen at the 51st Annual CMAs.

The Academy Award winner was there to support her husband Keith Urban, but her dress deserved an award all its own.
Miranda Lambert
The hot pink heels add a fun touch the perfectly spring inspired yellow gown.

It’s not so much the dress itself, it’s Musgraves’ entire look. The slicked back hair with the form-fitting black dress, the whole combination is just strikingly beautiful.

Keeping with the spring inspired theme, RaeLynn took a risk with this outside-the-box coral floor-length dress, and it paid off. The country singer looked gorgeous!
