Thursday night’s (April 28) episode of “Grey’s Anatomy” was named in honor of me. Okay, that’s a lie but it’s the story I’m going with because nothing better describes my role as Meredith’s (Ellen Pompeo) nanny than “You’re Gonna Need Someone on Your Side.”
As Meredith was coming down the stairs holding baby Ellis, she walked into the living room to find what I had seen while trying to shoo Zola and Bailey into the kitchen for breakfast: Dr. Hunt’s (Kevin McKidd) penis.

Meredith got to laugh it off, but I, on the other hand, needed to deal with incessant questions the rest of the day: “Why’s his pee-pee so much bigger than mine?” Bailey asked. “Yeah,” says Zola. “Why? And why was he snuggling with Auntie Amelia?”
How am I supposed to answer these questions? First of all, I thought things were over between Hunt and Amelia a few weeks ago. Ugh, those two! Whatever … it’s none of my business.
But when they bring their sex life into the living room for which I live? Then yeah, it’s definitely my business! And Hunt’s “business”? Well, let’s just say his … err … “business” is just fine.

This week wasn’t too dramatic in the Grey household other than Mr. Hunt’s peep show. But things at the hospital continue on in its usual soap opera form. Bailey (Chandra Wilson) is still struggling with Ben (Jason George), and so I’ve been picking up Tuck after school more than usual.
He tells me that “Mommy is having that time of the month.” But I’m thinking, “No, You’re mommy is just chief of the the hospital and has to deal with your father at work. And oh yeah. It is that time of the month.” How do I do know that? Because I know everything about every mother that works at Grey-Sloane Memorial.
Callie (Sarah Ramirez) and Arizona (Jessica Capshaw) are heading to court next week for their custody battle over Sophia, and it’s just breaking my heart.
Both women are spoiling her rotten, trying to win her affection. I seem to be the only person who tells her, “No” when she wants to eat cookies for lunch at daycare. However, she’s become a huge fan of watching “Friends.” She will do just about anything if I tell her she gets to watch her new crush, Chandler Bing. Just look at her adorable excited face during the car ride home.
Well, it’s getting late. Grey and her sisters from other misters are currently drinking wine in the living room, discussing Maggie’s (Kelly McCreary) recent dry spell.
“Just sleep with Andrew!” I want to yell. Because my God, he is beautiful — a gift in scrubs! Full disclosure, I have a crush on him. I know, not so shocking. Who isn’t in love with Andrew (Giacomo Gianniotti)? Oh well, he doesn’t even know I exist. Actually, nobody really does.
