Khloe Kardashian & 10 baby-faced celebs who lost their v-card before their sweet 16

Some celebrities are extremely tight-lipped when it comes to discussing their personal lives — ahem, Kerry Washington. Others, however, have no problem dishing about some of their most private moments to the prying public. On Monday (April 11), Khloe Kardashian revealed on her website that she lost her virginity at the young age of 15.

The reality TV star then went into much more detail than needed. “I don’t really remember it hurting but I do remember that I just wanted to get it over with,” the 31-year-old says. “You definitely don’t have an orgasm your first time. I didn’t for the first few years! I didn’t even know what the feeling was until I had one; I just liked the intimacy part. When it happened, I was like, ‘Ohhhhh, that’s what that is!!!’”

This is what Khloe Kardashian looked like at age 15.

Young Khloe Kardashian

The middle Kardashian sister is not alone in losing her v-card at an early age. Here’s a list of other celebrities who’ve admitted that their first time came sooner rather than later.

Daniel Radcliffe at age 16

“I’m one of the few people who seem to have had a really good first time,” the actor said to Elle. “It was with somebody I’d gotten to know well. I’m happy to say I’ve had a lot better sex since then, but it wasn’t as horrendously embarrassing as a lot of other people’s were- like my friend who got drunk and did it with a stranger under a bridge.”

Daniel Radcliffe at 16

Britney Spears at age 14

Lynne Spears, Britney’s mother, wrote in her tell-all book, “Through the Storm,” that Britney was not a virgin when she started dating Justin Timberlake at age 16. She had previously lost her virginity while still living in Kentwood, La., to a high school football player.

Kim Kardashian at age 14

“When I did want to have sex for the first time,” Kardashian revealed to Oprah Winfrey in a 2012 interview, “I was almost 15.” She also mentioned that her mother, Kris Jenner, put her on birth control right away.

Kim-Kardashian-1994

Johnny Depp at age 13

The actor told Rolling Stone that “I haven’t done anything this collaborative since I lost my virginity at 13,” while promoting Tim Burton’s “Sweeney Todd” in 2008.

Young Johnny

Kelly Osbourne at age 13

According to US Magazine, even though she hadn’t even gotten her period yet, afterward, “I convinced myself I was pregnant.”

Kelly Osbourne at 13

Katy Perry at age 16

The singer admitted to GQ that her first time was “in the front seat of a Volvo sedan while listening to Jeff Buckley’s album ‘Grace.'”

Young Katy Perry

Paris Hilton at age 15

The man who took her V-card, Aaron Spelling (Tori’s brother), blabbed about the entire affair to the New York Daily News. “She was, like, 15; I was 17,” he said, describing the momentous occasion that took place during trip to Palm Springs.

“And what do you know, I hear this knock-knock-knock on the door, and I look out and her grandma’s there. And then I look out the window and I see Paris in a full-on dress with a suitcase running down the golf course. We broke up like a week later.”

Young Paris Hilton

Robin Thicke at age 13

After telling Howard Stern during a radio show how young he was when he first had sex, Thicke mentioned to Elle that the one thing he wish he’d done differently: “Make it last longer than 30 seconds.”

Robin Thicke in 2000

Ashton Kutcher at age 15

The actor revealed to Details in 2008, “I was 15. It was out in the woods with a girl I had just met who my buddy set me up with. The whole thing lasted two seconds. It was really awkward. Two years later I had sex with her again just to show her the first performance was a fluke and I’d gotten better.”

Stop looking for Superman, Cat Grant is the hero ‘Supergirl’ needs

In Monday’s (April 11) penultimate episode of “Supergirl,” all the humans of National City have been taken over by mind control, except for Cat Grant (Calista Flockhart) and Maxwell Lord (Peter Facinelli). It seems Lord was smart enough to invent special beta blockers that prevent Myriad’s power from affecting them.

RELATED: ‘Supergirl’: Laura Vandervoort’s Indigo meets her match in ‘Solitude’

While Non (Chris Vance) believes mind control is the only way for peace on Earth — eradicating racism, political differences and world hunger — Grant explains exactly why Myriad is actually devastatingly awful. “You haven’t saved them,” she says. You’ve enslaved them.”

Maxwell Lord, Cat Grant, and Supergirl

After trying to find Superman for help — only to discover that Kal-El has also fallen under the Myriad spell — Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) is at a loss on how to save the world.

Lord’s plan? “Kill them all.” His aim is to bomb the entire city in which only eight percent of the population would have to be sacrificed. While Supergirl waffles on this idea, Grant scoffs at it without hesitation. But losing a few hundred thousand people is better than everyone dying, right?

Cat Grant GIF

No. There’s got to be a better way. Grant then gives Supergirl one of those emotionally charged, uplifting speeches. It’s an inspirational monologue that not only invoked a slow clap at the end, it spurned Supergirl to finally have an idea on how they can save National City.

Cat Grant is the real Supergirl

Noticing a pattern here? Cat Grant is not only the superhero ‘Supergirl’ needs, she’s the superhero National City needs. She’s brilliant, strong-willed, patient, hopeful and powerfully persuasive. Cat Grant, if she was to put on Supergirl’s cape could pretty much save the world from anything.

Whatever solution there is to defeat Myriad once and for all, the answer lies with Cat.

The Season 1 finale of “Supergirl” airs on Monday, April 18, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.

How is Rachel Dolezal’s anniversary more important than National Grilled Cheese Day?

Falling into the category of reminders that nobody asked for or needed, NBC’s “Today” had Rachel Dolezal on as a guest Tuesday (April 12) to commemorate the one-year anniversary since she took the media by storm. In 2015, the Internet ripped the white woman apart after she claimed that she identified “as black,” and was caught lying about being born African-American.

RELATED: Rachel Dolezal says she was ‘born white’ but is ‘walking the walk’ of a black woman

“I’m still me. Nothing has changed,” Dolezal says, thus proving her appearance on national TV is taking away from one of America’s more important celebrations on Tuesday (April 12), National Grilled Cheese Day.

This is supposed to be a day in which people reflect on the the beauty of the melted, ooey-gooey, butter and cheese sandwich. A deliciously simple food concoction that reminds adults of their childhood, but which one still happily eats as a grown-up.

grilled cheese

Instead, the name Rachel Dolezal is trending on Twitter. Why? The former Spokane, Wash. NAACP leader says that she is “looking forward to getting back into racial and social justice work,” and will be penning a memoir of her personal experiences dealing with racial identity.

Pretty sure everyone would rather read this book instead.

Grilled cheese cookbook

There are so many brilliant ways to make a grilled cheese! Let’s shift out focus to this delectable, easy-to-make meal that stands the test of time. With so many variations of bread options, and the numerous kinds of cheese, it’s hard to get sick of this sandwich. You can even take things to the next level by making it with macaroni and cheese!

Grilled Mac N Cheese with soup

Instead of trying to figure out what Dolezal meant by saying, “Race didn’t create racism, but racism created race,” instead think about what kind of grilled cheese sandwich you want to make today.

RELATED: This ain’t April ‘Foods’ Day: The 4 new (and weirdest) fast food menu items

Will you dip it in a hot bowl tomato soup? Perhaps, get a little fancy and add some prosciutto and artichoke hearts between the slices of bread? Sliced pears and roasted turkey make surprisingly great additions.  Make a healthy version by using whole wheat bread, low-fat cheese and a slew of vegetables, or add mozzarella and pepperoni for pizza version. The options are endless!

Don’t let Rachel Dolezal ruin April 12. Today is National Grilled Cheese Day and no American should forget to celebrate this important sandwich. A grilled cheese is comfort food, it’s a balance of protein and carbs, and it makes the kitchen smell like the delicious scent of fried butter. It tastes like childhood and feels like love.

How to make Gwyneth Paltrow’s ‘It’s All Easy’ Zucchini Cacio e Pepe without breaking the bank

On Tuesday (April 12), Gwenyth Paltrow’s third cookbook, “It’s All Easy,” hit bookshelves from her website Goop’s own imprint from Grand Central Publishing. Including over 125 new recipes from the Academy Award winning actress, it’s touted to be the quick perfect solution for the busy at-home cook, offering meals that can made in the time it would take to order take-out.

RELATED: You will not believe what Gwyneth Paltrow’s daughter Apple looks like now

One of the recipes featured on Paltrow’s website to promote the new cookbook is her Zucchini Cacio e Pepe. This dish has just one step. ONE! That should be easy enough, right? Plus, there’s only 5 ingredients required: 3 medium zucchinis, 1/4 cup of olive oil, 1 teaspoon of finely ground black pepper, 1 cup of finely grated cheese, and salt.

Gwyneth's 'It's All Easy' pasta recipe

This sounds like something out of “30 Minute Meals with Rachael Ray” and a dish even an inexperienced cook without a lot of money can make. Now, let’s make this one step dish:

“In a large bowl, toss the zucchini noodles with the olive oil and pepper. Add the cheese, toss to combine, and season with salt to taste.”

Okay, so it seems a lot of things are left out. First, we need to make zucchini noodles. Paltrow suggests buying a Hemsley+Hemsley spiralizer which costs $65. The Andrew Hughes hand blown glass bowl she serves it in costs an additional $65, the Amagansett sea salt is $10 an ounce, the mud Australia dipping bowl is $38. This doesn’t include the cheese, for which she recommends Pecorino, the black pepper, the actual zucchinis, or the cookbook itself which retails at $55.

Are you kidding Gwyneth? No. She’s not. This cookbook could alternatively be titled “It’s All Easy, if You’re Super Rich.”

Gwyneth don't care

However, at Zap2it, we’ve figured out a way to make this delicious recipe and still have money to eat tomorrow.

This simplest solution? Use normal pasta. Or purchase whole wheat pasta for a healthier touch. And if a spiralizer is an item you’d like to add to your pantry, check out this OXO hand held spiralizer, which only costs $14.95 at Crate&Barrel.com.

Instead of Amagensett salt, which as nice as it sounds being “from the banks of the Atlantic Ocean, then filtered and evaporated by the sun itself,” try this other fancy sea salt from La Baleine, one France’s most popular brands which is sold for $5.95 for 26.5 oz at Gourmetfoodworld.com. This Mediterranean Sea Salt is not a step down either.  It is also “harvested from natural evaporation.”

Bon Appetit! And Bon money in your wallet!

MYOB: Megan Fox rules out 3 guilty-by-association baby daddies

The moment Megan Fox stepped on stage at CinemaCon on Monday (April 11) in Las Vegas, the Internet broke out into a frenzy, and it had nothing to do with her upcoming film “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows,” it was because she debuted a new baby bump.

Since the last official news anyone heard was that the 29-year-old had filed for divorce from her husband of five years Brian Austin Green in August 2015, with whom she has already has two kids, Noah, 3, and Bodhi, 2, speculation spread like wildfire trying to guess the new baby’s daddy.

No one seemed to stop and think that maybe this was none of their business. The actress made light of the situation on Tuesday (April 12), posting this collage of photos on her Instagram with the simple caption: #notthefather

It’s time to count out “TMNT” co-star Will Arnett, “Transformers” co-star Shia LaBeouf and “New Girl” co-star Jake Johnson.

If all those male co-workers are up for debate, why isn’t Stephen Amell?  He was also one of her “Ninja” co-stars! Is every male that she’s ever worked with going to be considered? That’s one heck of a list for the internationally known movie and TV star.

Megan Fox and Stephen Amell

Rumors of who knocked up Megan Fox continue to swirl. Many people seem to doubt that the baby daddy is the man she has been with for the past 11 years, and with whom she’s recently been seen out and about with even after divorce news broke, Brian Austin Green.

Megan Fox and Brian Austin Greene

However, according to People there is no reason to keep speculating. “Of course, Brian is the dad,” a source says. “They never stopped loving each other and they will never stop being devoted parents to their boys.”

Speculate all you want,  but at the end of the day, whoever the father is — it’s none of your business.  This is Fox’s private life. The only thing Fox should be worried about is delivering a healthy baby, not putting to rest the public’s guessing game of who fathered her child.

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen finally join Instagram and it’s not very interesting

The two most famous twins in the world Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen finally jumped on the Instagram bandwagon.

While they didn’t create their own personal accounts on Wednesday (April 13), it still marked quite a historical event for the notoriously private sisters for which an entire museum in New York City has been created to showcase photos of the two stars trying to hide from paparazzi.

RELATED: John Stamos congratulates Mary-Kate Olsen with adorable ‘Full House’ picture

The Olsens broke 29 years of social media silence by taking over Sephora‘s Instagram account and the highly anticipated results were unfortunately quite boring. They only posted one selfie. And then pictures of their food? Come on, guys. These billionaire moguls have much cooler things to show off!

RELATED: ‘Full House’ star Mary-Kate Olsen has reportedly tied the knot!

For their “first public selfie,” the twins are in their signature black outfits, wearing black shades, and used a black and white filter. This feels very on brand for the fashion designers, and a solid jumping off point for what they would post next.

Instagram Photo

Sorting through photos featuring the newest looks from their Elizabeth and James line is kind of interesting. It’s fun to see the upcoming signature over-sized cozy looking clothing that the petite women have created.

Instagram Photo

But then things get kind of boring. Okay, really boring. Everyone knows food pics are only acceptable if it’s a proudly cooked dish or incredibly drool-inducing “I want to devour that plate”  kind of porn. Salads? Sigh. At least they’re keeping it real. These ladies probably haven’t touched a slice of pizza or a cupcake since their “Full House” days.

The Elizabeth and James creators show off their fabric options for their next designer bag creation which … YAWN. Show some sketches. Share a photo in which you playfully show that you can actually fit inside one of your kitchen-sized sink shoulder bags.

If you’re hoping to see another selfie, or perhaps a snapshot with sister Elizabeth, you’re going to be really disappointed with this next photo. Who’s this dude? Don’t know. Don’t care.

MK and Ashley keep the unexciting posts coming with this video of their fragrances Nirvana Black and Nirvana White. Unless Instagram created a way in which we can smell these fragrances, watching someone spritzing them is pretty anti-climatic

However, if you wish to smell like an Olsen, both perfumes retail at $80 and can be bought at Sephora.com.

Lastly, a white-on-white T-shirt with the new collection’s theme, “My Nirvana” printed on the front.

‘Nashville’s’ Juliette brings everyone to tears with heart-wrenching ‘Hole in the World’ performance

It’s been a minute since “Nashville” churned out some solid original music, but with Juliette Barnes (Hayden Panettiere) finally back from her rehab hiatus, and returning to the Grand Ole Opry stage on Wednesday night’s (April 13) episode, “When There’s a Fire in Your Heart” the magic of what used to make the ABC drama so great, was back.

RELATED: Hayden Panettiere ultimately distracts in ‘Nashville’ return

Singing a song entitled, “Hole in the World,” Barnes strummed at her guitar and unleashed such hauntingly real emotion, it was impossible not to tear up.  Juliette wasn’t singing about a break-up, or trying to woo her ex-husband Avery (Jonathon Jackson) back, this song was an apology to her old manager, Glenn (Ed Amatrudo), and through music she was able to find the perfect way to say a very much over due, “I’m Sorry.”

For real. This song had audience’s every like …

Juliette crying

Season 4 of “Nashville” has been seriously lagging. It’s been all over the place with introducing new characters, taking them away, having old relationships reunite only to break them up soon afterwards. The show had completely deserted what made it so unique from all the other dramas on TV: Showcasing great new music and perfectly entwining these tunes with the character’s story lines.

“Nashville” works best when it runs like a country musical, in which afterward audiences want to run to iTunes to download the newest songs. If you’re searching to buy “Hole in the World”- click here.

“Nashville” airs Wednesday nights at 10 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.

Jason George: Why ‘Grey’s Anatomy’s’ 2-hour event made him relive the ‘worst’ and ‘best day’ of his life

On Thursday (April 14), audiences are getting a double dose of “Grey’s’ Anatomy” with an episode entitled, “There’s a Fine, Fine, Line,” and another, “It’s Alright Ma, (I’m Only Bleeding),” airing immediately afterwards. The 2-hour special focuses on Dr. Ben Warren, and Zap2it got to speak with Jason George, who plays Warren on the long running medical series, about what we can expect to during this extended evening of “Grey’s.”

RELATED: ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ finally puts all of 3 MerDer’s kids together on screen

The 44-year-old actor, who after years of guest-starring on “Grey’s” was bumped up to series regular last summer, explains what Code Pink means, why everything will change at Grey-Sloan Memorial after Thursday night, and how the medical scare featured in this episode brought on extremely painful real-life flashbacks from 8 years ago.

Zap2it: What is Code Pink?

Jason George: When a child or infant has gone missing, they lock down the hospital, and you’re frozen wherever you are. So, if a child is running lose, they can’t get anywhere else, and you can find them easier. In this instance, Ben is trapped trapped where he is and he can’t get to any doctors, and no doctors can get to him, and he’s [with] a pregnant woman with severe complications. It’s the worst possible scenario a doctor can get put in.

Jason George as Dr. Ben Warren

Why is this episode a game-changer for Ben?

The Code Pink has caused unintended chaos. Ben has to make some tough calls. Everyone has a different take on if he made a right call or if he made a wrong call. It’s hand down – this episode changes Ben and Bailey’s (Chandra Wilson) relationship. His entire work world. His relationship with many of the other doctors, and [how] Ben looks at himself. We hit some really hard stuff.

What was the most challenging part of filming this 2-hour special?

I love playing opposite Chandra. This pushes us to go places that we’ve never gone before, and that was a fun challenge.

RELATED: Meredith’s got a new man on ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ — meet the new ‘McDreamy,’ Dr. Will Thorpe

With such dramatic story lines, is it hard to separate from work when you go home?

[While filming this episode], there was one night I had to come home and tell my wife what happened. Usually, she doesn’t want to know because she likes to watch the show, but I was like “Nope!” I’m spoiling because I’m reliving the worst/best day of our lives … I have a 12-year-old and twin 8-year-olds. So, I’m having flashbacks all over the place …

Jason George with wife Vandana Khanna and children Jasmine George, Arun George, Nikhil George,

What happened?

[With] my twins, an SUV ran a red light and T-boned her sedan while she 8.5 months pregnant. I’ve never been more scared, more angry, then more relieved, then more in love. Every emotion you could possibly feel, I went through at the highest level humanly possible. And so much of that is reflected in that episode.

Did Shonda Rhimes or any of the writers know about this?

Nope! They’re are just writing crazy situations.

You’re really living “Grey’s Anatomy!”

For a day or two … I’ve been there. We went to the emergency room, and she was fine. But at the end of the day, we were [originally due] in one or two weeks, and they were like let’s do it now. So, they were born by emergency C-section because of the accident.

The 2-hour episode special of “Grey’s Anatomy” airs at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.

Who’s the leak on ‘Real World: Go Big or Go Home’? Chris Ammon explains

After 31 seasons, it’s hard to imagine that there’s anything audiences haven’t seen or heard, but on last week’s episode of “The Real World: Go Big or Home,” the roommates discovered someone was leaking information to the public while filming. There’s never been a whistleblower in this long-running reality series’ history, and most fans suspected that this kind of offense would get a cast member sent home. On Thursday (April 14), the perpetrator disclosing information that Jenna was a racist and a homophobe was forced to come forward.

RELATED: Two girls are inexplicably pining over ‘Jungle Boy’ in ‘The Real World: Go Big or Go Home’

The person who wrote a press release and posted it on one of the most popular Internet fan forums for “The Real World” was Chris. Approaching episode 5, the 24-year-old former Mormon and outward pansexual was slowly revealing himself to be one of the coolest, open-minded and fan-favorites of the cast members. Why did he take such backhanded extreme measures? Zap2it talked to Chris in length about “The Leak,” why he did it, what the cameras didn’t show and what happens next.

Zap2it: What was your intention leaking this information?

After watching the show itself, people know issues such as sexuality, race and discrimination are incredibly important to me. Seeing the way the show had been edited in recent seasons led me to believe that conversations about these issues may not be included in the final cut.

While I regret the way the information originally came out, I can say with confidence that the leak ensured that the comments about these conversations were accurately portrayed.

Real World GIF Chris and Jenna

But it would eventually air on national TV …

There was no assurance that that would ever make the show. Anyone who’s seen the last two seasons, the complaints from long-time viewers were that issues of race, sexuality and discrimination had not been discussed to the extent that they were in original seasons. My hope was that if I prepared the fans for those comments, they would be included in the show.

Everything in the leak was a direct quote that Jenna said. So, as long as I was portraying everything accurately, production would do have to do so as well.

When exactly did this take place?

It was about a month into filming. By that point in the house, [Jenna and I] had become good friends. But the racial comments, and comments on sexual orientation, they continued. What wasn’t shown, by the time Jenna was made aware of this leak, nobody in the house had been speaking with her for about a week. The frustration and the tension was running that high.

Despite myself and Kailah, who were her only two friends in the house trying to tell her that she was completely isolating herself by doing these things, we weren’t making any progress at all. So by posting this, I was hoping that it would be an eye-opening moment for her.

Kailah and Chris

Did you discuss your approach with other cast members?

Off-screen, Kailah and I talked about it quite a bit.

So she was in on it, too?

To clarify, Kailah was not involved at all in the writing of it, but she was the first person who was made aware of it as soon as it had been posted. I didn’t want animosity directed towards her that was undue. It’s one of the reasons why I came forward. Jenna was threatening to physically attack Kailah.

RELATED: Meet CeeJai’, the most fascinating ‘Real World’ cast member MTV has seen in years

Do you think you made an impact?

Jenna changing as a person was far more retrospective. Watching the show has been hard but therapeutic for her. For the first time, she realized what she’s said is inappropriate and very hurtful. I’ve been lucky to have formed a relationship with her post-“Real World” and I can attest to the fact that she is working very hard to becoming a more empathetic and informed person.

'The Real World' cast celebrating

That’s great! But were you worried about getting kicked off? Is there nothing in your contract that says you can’t do this?

You have to understand, having grown up radically Mormon, I wasn’t even allowed to watch MTV. It was the pinnacle of evil, stupidity and exposure. Then when I found I was being cast, it was very interesting. My good friend had submitted me, and in my [interviews], I said the only reason I would go on the show would be to talk about race, discrimination and sexuality.

Ironically enough, when I show up on the show and there’s a Mormon there, a Mormon who shared many of the discriminatory opinions that I had specifically come to fight against on the show, that fueled a fire underneath me to make sure those issue were brought to life.

Chris 'Real World Go Big or Go Home'

Did you leak the nude photos of you, too?

No! Even with how body positive I am – I was incredibly violated by that entire experience. Ugh, and now there’s all these rumors that I want to make my way into porn. No. Look, I’ve been body shamed my entire life being Mormon. I was told my body was gross, evil, sexual. So when I finally made my break away from the religion, I made a habit of being as naked as much as I could be.

You’ll see me laughing it off, but to have someone take those photos was gross and backdoor. It’s important to think about your body as your own. And you should always have the choice of who sees it, and how they see it.

Do you have any regrets?

Yeah, but that involves me in a leather thong and it’s in a much later episode!

“The Real World: Go Big or Go Home” airs Thursdays at 10 p.m. ET/PT on MTV.

Dr. Ben and Bailey prove mixing work and love on ‘Grey’s’ never ends well

$

Can you successfully mix work and pleasure? Does it ever end well? For anyone? No. That’s why the saying goes, “You can’t s*** where you eat.”

Shondaland’s TGIT served up a double scoop “Grey’s Anatomy” sundae on Thursday (April 14), and it went down just like any guilty pleasure dessert would: Super satisfying and then full of regret, mirroring every romantic relationship on this medical drama.

During the first hour, the hospital is put on a brief lockdown while a child patient goes missing in “There’s a Fine, Fine, Line.” The second hour deals with the personal fall out in “It’s Alright, Ma (I’m Only Bleeding),” in which Dr. Ben Warren (Jason George) makes a quick-thinking medical decision on woman giving birth, in which the unfortunate aftermath leaves both the mother and baby dying. Figuring out who’s to blame and what went wrong effects every single intern, nurse, doctor and surgeon at Grey-Sloane Memorial.

RELATED: Jason George: Why ‘Grey’s Anatomy’s’ 2-hour event made him relive the ‘worst’ and ‘best day’ of his life

The thread continuing throughout the entire two-hour event explored the harsh reality of mixing work and relationships. Bailey (Chandra Wilson) as Chief of Staff was forced to discipline her husband Warren for his medical misfire. Instead of struggling with the fact that she had to suspend him for six months, she’s frustrated with the fact that she didn’t flat-out fire him, the knee-jerk reaction she would’ve normally made as head of the hospital.

Bailey gif

Whether Ben and Bailey can survive the Code Pink drama is yet to be seen, however, like a Jenga tower of blocks, once these two started having issues, almost every other relationship took a tumble. Callie (Sarah Ramirez) decides she wants to move to New York City with her new girlfriend and after telling the exciting news to her co-worker, cheating ex-wife, mother of their child Arizona (Jessica Capshaw), Arizona decides to turn around and sue her for full custody of their daughter.

RELATED: ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ finally puts all of 3 MerDer’s kids together on screen

As for the other relationships in peril, exes April (Sarah Drew) and Jackson (Jesse Williams) are proceeding with their divorce even though she is pregnant with their child.  Andrew (Giacomo Gianniotti) and Maggie (Kelly McCreary) broke up a few weeks ago due to their unequal positions at work. Amelia (Catarina Scorsone) and Hunt (Kevin McKidd) couldn’t get it together. Karev (Justin Chambers) and Jo (Camilla Luddington) are technically still together but boy, are they an indecisive hot mess.

Perhaps, Hunt said it best when lamenting about his old relationship with Christina (Sandra Oh).

'Grey's' in a nutshell

It would be easy to rip apart “Grey’s” for these cyclical relationships but that’s just what life is, right? Putting yourself out there, maybe getting hurt, but never giving up hope. When someone puts in 12- to 14-hour shifts almost every day, where else are they supposed to meet someone other than at work? As of now, the only couples in functioning healthy relationships are Richard (James Pickens Jr.) and Mrs. Avery (Debbie Allen) … and … yeah, that’s it! But that will all probably change next week.

“Grey’s Anatomy” airs on Thursday nights at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.

Barely Legal: Why does TV ‘kids’ having sex feel so dirty?

$
0
0

It’s wonderful to have a show on the air for so long that you feel like you’ve grown up alongside certain characters. Watching someone struggle through high school, their first break-up, marriage, children, divorce, etc. — you see a character grow up before your very eyes. As they plow through all these types of dramatic moments, it becomes natural for audiences to feel for them as one would a dear friend.

RELATED: Khloe Kardashian & 10 baby-faced celebs who lost their v-card before their sweet 16

However, sometimes watching TV characters mature into an adult can also feel incredibly awkward. Shows premiere featuring kids at age 10 or 12, who then eventually turn 16, 18, or 21 years old during the series’ run, and writers then have the tough job of portraying that transition in a tasteful way. Puberty is a rough time. Losing one’s virginity is a very delicate subject. So it’s difficult as a viewer to watch someone we’re so used to considering a child have sex on TV.

Sarah Hyland

“Modern Family’s” Haley Dunphy has been sexually active since Season 1 back in 2009. Dunphy was 16, and actress Hyland was 19 years old in real life. Sure, it may be realistic to the modern times of American culture, but it’s always been awkward watching such a naive and clueless character talk so confidently about sex. Hyland is now 25, a gorgeous young woman, but seeing her character dressed in revealing clothing, her chest constantly busting out of her shirt, especially during all those one-on-one scenes with her dad, is uncomfortably distracting.

Sarah Hyland growing up

Ariel Winter

Winter turned 18 in January, and it seems the “Modern Family” writers decided it was time for Haley’s young sister, Alex, to start having sex. Like her character Alex, Winter was 12 years old when the series began. Now, Alex is a freshman in college, and having sex with her boyfriend Sanjay. She’s of age, yes, but just look at what Dunphy looked like during Season 1!

Like a protective parent, we wonder where did all those years go? She can’t be sexually active, right? But she is. The fact that time sometimes moves in the blink of an eye is what makes watching Alex talk about sex so depressing.

Ariel Winter grew up so fast

Lennon Stella

Stella is 16 years old. She’s an incredible singer and performer, and yet every time the “Nashville” star talks about sex on the series, it’s cringe-worthy. She really is just 16! Maddie Conrad was a bespectacled sweet young girl when the country music drama first premiered four years ago. Her transition into becoming a teenage rebel was too fast and too much. Audiences miss the little innocent Maddie.

Lennon Stella growing up

Danielle Campbell

Campbell was 19 when her character Davina was introduced on “The Vampire Diaries” spinoff series “The Originals,” but the CW never tried to portray her as young and innocent. Davina was sultry and sexed up from Season 1.

Danielle on 'The Originals' Season 1

This is Davina during Season 3.

Davina GIF

Campbell was only 19 when cast on a show in which everyone else was over the age of 30. Even though she just turned 21 years old, it’s hard to wash away the feeling that she was thrust into performing sex scenes before she audiences were ready

Davina stripping

It’s just so difficult, and maybe impossible to ever get used to looking at TV’s kids turn into adults. Like their mother or father, long time viewers can’t help but look upon these young women and only see their baby faces as they were when we first met them.

‘The ‘S’ is for sprinkles!’ and Season 2: ‘Supergirl’ cast celebrates every day with donuts

Women in TV and film are under so much pressure to keep a figure that is up to Hollywood’s impossibly thin or perfectly curvy standards, which is what makes the Instagram account of “Supergirl” executive producer Ali Adler so awesome. Adler constantly posts photos of the show’s star, Melissa Benoist, nom-nom’ing down on donuts. Not as “guilty pleasures” or just holding them for photo’s sake, she happily devours frosted, sprinkled and glazed treats on a daily basis.

How can Benoist and co-star Chyler Leigh, who is also featured treating herself to donuts on a regular basis, stay looking so beautifully toned? While genetics may play into the equation, check out this preview fight scene from the show’s Season 1 finale. These women literally kick butt 12 to 14 hours a day, six days a week. They more than earn their daily donut.

There’s only one more day until the finale of “Supergirl” airs, and while viewers worry as to why CBS has not renewed the the hit show, fear not Kara Zor-El fans.

Keep calm and donut on.

“Supergirl” is coming back. How do we know? Fellow EPs Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kresiberg have already discussed casting decisions for Season 2 with Zap2it, and because the network doesn’t normally announce renewal decisions until a series has wrapped up.

Lionel Richie, Dave Grohl, The Beatles: 12 artists who can’t read music and why that’s okay

$

It’s hard to imagine that some of the world’s most iconic musicians and artists can’t read or write music, but as Lionel Richie confirmed to Us Weekly on Sunday (April 17), this major slight is actually more common among artists than one might think.

Many musicians are self-taught. The inspiration to create new sounds and beats comes from an internal pull based on being able to learn by music by ear, and then having the talent to find that specific musical sound on their instrument.

RELATED:Lionel Richie to Adele: ‘Hello … is it me you’re looking for?’

There aren’t just a few musicians that work this way, we’re talking about the most decorated artists that have ever lived. People who’ve created beautiful music, songs that have stood the test of time, have come from people who are not just unable to write sheet music, they can’t read it either. While this can be criticized as someone who doesn’t honor their craft enough to be knowledgeable about it in all respects, most claim that reading and writing sheet music can actually rob them of their creativity.

It’s a hard statement to argue with when the following list of 12 outstanding musicians all openly admit to not being able to read or write sheet music.

1. Lionel Richie

2. The King of Pop: Michael Jackson

John Jeremiah Sullivan wrote in a profile of Jackson in GQ, "He starts with tape recorders. He sings and beatboxes the little things he hears, the parts ... Some of the things Michael hears in his head he exports to another instrument, to the piano (which he plays not well but passably) or to the bass. The melody and a few percussive elements remain with his vocal. The rest he assembles around it. He has his brothers and sisters with him. He conducts."

Michael Jackson

3. Dave Grohl

"I was never taught how to play the guitar," Growl told Rolling Stone. I don't know the chords to 'Everlong' [From 1997's The Color and the Shape"]. I only know what happens when I put my fingers there. But that riff is a good example of how I look at the guitar."

4-7. The Beatles

"The Fab Four"- John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and and Ringo Starr. Lennon told Playboy in 1960, "None of us can write it. But as pure musicians, as inspired humans to make the noise, [Paul and Ringo] are as good as anybody."

The Beatles On Stage

8. Slash

Lead guitarist of Guns N' Roses said in an interview during Snakepit, "No, I can't read music. I play by ear. I try to make what I want to hear, sometimes in my head, come out of my hands and into my guitar. When I write music, I usually write on my own at least to start."

Slash at the 2016 Coachella Valley Music And Arts Festival

9. Eric Clapton

Perhaps he's laughing during this concert because it reminds him of the guest session he once had with Aretha Franklin, for which Clapton wrote about in his autobiography. "I felt so nervous because I couldn't read music, and they were all playing from music sheets and stands."

Wynton Marsalis And Eric Clapton

10. Elvis Presley

When asked during an interview in 1957 how he writes music if he can't read it or play the guitar, Presely said, "It's all a big hoax, honey. I never wrote a song in my life. I get one-third of the credit for recording it. It makes me look smarter than I am. I've never even had an idea for a song. Just once, maybe."

Elvis playing guitar

11. Eddie Van Halen

Founder of the band Van Halen, he told Guitar World that his piano training transferred to the guitar, "but in a very subliminal way. Because I never learned how to read, really. I used to fool the teacher. I did it all by ear."

Eddie Van Halen at the 2015 Billboard Music Awards

12. Jimi Hendrix

Hendrix is praised by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as "arguably the greatest instrumentalist in the history of rock music." In his biography, the singer, guitarist and songwriter, claims his inability to read or write music allowed him to focus better on the music he heard.

‘Girls’ evolve into women in Season 5 finale: The 3 Kleenex-necessary moments

$

0

Season 5 of “Girls” has excelled in every way. The HBO drama nailed that tricky balance of mixing real emotional situations with great humorous moments. Further digging into the insecurities and awkwardness of entering adulthood, the ups and downs of both friendships and romantic relationships, what made this season shine the brightest were the personal introspective moments.

Sprinkled throughout the season, each of the “Girls” had an entire episode dedicated to them. Audiences saw Hannah (Lena Dunham), Jessa (Jemima Kirke), Shoshanna (Zosia Mamet), Marnie (Allison Williams) and Elijah (Andrew Rannells) take a look at themselves to figure out what’s wrong in their lives, not immediately run to blame others for their missteps, as they all normally did.

RELATED: ‘Girls’ vs. ‘Golden Girls’: Which one would they be and why?

It’s quite emotional to finally watch these girls turn into women after 5 years. The first half-hour episode, “Love Stories,” opens up with the closure of Hannah and Fran’s (Jake Lacy) relationship, which had thoroughly crashed and burned during last week’s episode. More heartbreaking was the end Elijah and Dill’s (Corey Stoll) courtship. The second episode, “I Love you Baby,” explored the rest of the cast members’ lives, Jessa and Adam, Hannah’s parents, Marnie, Shosh, and Ray.

Here are the Top 3 Kleenex moments from the Season 5 finale episodes.

Kleenex moment #1

“Don’t you wanna be with someone who sees you for you?” Elijah asks Dill.

“I want someone special,” Dill responds. But that someone special is not him.

The realization that each of these characters are not that special, that they are not immune to the crazy unfairness that is life sometimes, is a slow universal realization for everyone throughout this season. But nary have we seen Elijah be so vulnerable, and then so thoroughly dismissed.

RELATED: Lena Dunham rants over photoshopped cover photo: ‘NOT what my body has ever looked like’

Kleenex moment #2

“You know I google myself every day? I need to see how other people see me because it’s the only way I can see myself” – Tally (Jenny Slate).

Tally, who appeared in “Girls” Season 1, returns as another character who’s finally grown up. Opposite of Hannah, she has gotten everything she has set out to do in her career, and yet, she is still so unhappy. Both girls think the grass is always greener and share some grass smoke away their emotions. Their ability to be so honest with each other about their true feelings, lifting each other up instead of tearing the other person apart in order to make themselves feel better is a beautiful moment for both Tally and Hannah.

Lena Dunham 'Girls'

Kleenex moment #3

“I’m gonna live 80 more years and it’s horrible,” Elijah says to Hannah’s mom, Loreen (Becky Ann Baker) as they drink outside on the street.

Loreen is lamenting how she’s done nothing in her life, how her time to do something great has passed. Elijah, so freshly heartbroken, can’t help but see every day ahead as another long road of disparity. Watching these two characters come together for emotional support while Hannah’s Dad, Tad (Peter Scolari) secretly runs off to meet his gay date from earlier in the season, was an unexpected and touching way to end the season.

RELATED: Lena Dunham’s new HBO documentary is about her queer sister — ‘the coolest person I know’

Jessa

As for the rest of the cast, Jessa and Adam (Adam Driver) are both insane, and maybe, just maybe insanely perfect for each other. Shoshanna is finding her happiness through creative marketing, and Marnie, still narcissistic and unlikable as ever, might’ve found her perfect match in lost puppy character that is Ray (Alex Karpovsky).

This was such fantastically entertaining season of “Girls.” It Season 6, the final farewell tour for Dunham’s dramedy, can surpass this one, prepare to have even more tissues on hand.

Someone will die in ‘Supergirl’s’ Season 1 finale, but who? ‘You are going to cry’

The “Supergirl” Season 1 finale airs Monday (April 18) and it has been hinted that at least one character is not going to live to see Season 2.

According to Kevin Smith, who’s well known for writing and directing “The Flash” and who happened to mosey on over the the CBS set while they were filming the final episode, says on a podcast that the finale “is amazing. Something’s happening that will affect Supergirl in such a great way that, you think it’s like cute puppies and fucking kittens now? You are going to cry when you see how beautiful this fucking thing is.”

When asked about the imminent death, executive producer Greg Berlanti is staying mum. “It would be a lot less exciting if I said, ‘No.'” he tells Entertainment Weekly, but Berlanti is known for having pretty epic finales, so Zap2it is wondering: Who will die? Let’s break it down.

Supergirl

supergirl season 1 episode 13 Someone will die in Supergirls Season 1 finale, but who? You are going to cry

Likely-hood of death: Zero. That’s ridiculous.

Alex Danvers (Chyler Leigh)

Alex and Kara Danvers on 'Supergirl'

Not likely. They set it up in “Myriad” that either her or Supergirl will have to die, but we’d put good money that someone steps in before either of the Danvers’ sisters has to wave goodbye to the show.

RELATED: ‘The ‘S’ is for sprinkles!’ and Season 2: ‘Supergirl’ cast celebrates every day with donuts

James Olsen (Mehcad Brooks)

James Olsen on 'Supergirl' GIF

Aside from his pending romantic relationship with Supergirl, there’s still so much to learn about his background. To kill him off this early would be a disservice to the entire series. Death odds? Not great.

Cat Grant (Calista Flockhart)

Calista Flockhart in 'Supergirl'

Absolutely, not. She is the greatest thing about this show. An absolute gift.

Lucy Lane (Jenna Dewan-Tatum)

Jenna Dewan-Tatum as Lucy Lane in Supergirl

This could be the character to go. Since she’s made peace with both Supergirl and James after their break-up, it could be a bittersweet end for Lucy.

Winn (Jeremy Jordan)

Winn 'Supergirl' Gif

Winn’s death would be a heartbreaker. His unrelenting love for Kara, even though he’s acutely aware that it’s never going to happen, makes him a fan-favorite. Plus Winn’s always the much needed comedic relief during the most intense moments. While his fantastic awkwardness would be missed dearly missed, he’s not so integral to the show that it couldn’t move forward without him.

Martian Manhunter (David Harewood)

Martian Manhunter GIF

This would be the most devastating loss. J’onn J’onzz is such a layered character with so many amazing superhero skills, it would be a shame to lose the shape-shifting green alien with the heart of gold.

RELATED: ‘Supergirl’: Laura Vandervoort’s Indigo meets her match in ‘Solitude’

Indigo (Laura Vandervoot) and Non (Chris Vance)

Indigo and Non 'Supergirl'

With two evil characters trying to take over National City, it would seem logical that at least one of them would die come finale time.  While Indigo’s superpower’s make it seem like she would be the one to survive, Non is such an untrustworthy partner-in-crime. He most likely has a secret plan B that sacrifices Indigo in order to save himself if the situation arises.

Maxwell Lord (Peter Facinelli)

Peter Facinelli as Maxwell Lord on 'Supergirl'

We’re torn. It’s been heavily hinted that Lord will become a love interest for Cat Grant which would be a fun rollercoaster of crazy to watch. Or, because audiences have started to see that he is not an all-around terrible guy, the writers might be priming him for an epic white knight type of death.

Here’s a sneak peak of the finale episode, “Better Angels.”

Season 1 of “Supergirl”  has been full of thrills, surprises, disasters and some truly heart-wrenching moments, but the season finale, “Better Angels,” in which Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) and Martian Manhunter (David Harewood) team up to protect National City from total human extinction, brings on the most epic battle this CBS series has ever seen.

RELATED: ‘The ‘S’ is for sprinkles!’ and Season 2: ‘Supergirl’ cast celebrates every day with donuts

Fighting against Non (Chris Vance), and Indigo (Laura Vandevoort), the latter whom literally gets ripped in half by J’onn J’onzz, meet their death, but not before they set up a threat to kill every human on Earth. Supergirl goes on a suicide mission to push Fort Rozz into outer space to save the world, and Alex (Chyler Leigh) shoots into space in her pod to rescue her sister.

RELATED: Hey, ‘Supergirl’ – need a new villain for Season 2? Call ‘Smallville’s’ John Schneider

The highly emotional episode was about to end on too good of a note, so audiences knew something crazy was about to happen. Kara gets promoted by Cat Grant (Calista Flockart), Supergirl and James seal their romance with a real kiss, Hank Henshaw is reinstated as head of the DEO. Except for a shady meeting between Max (Peter Facinelli) and General Lane (Glen Morshower) involving the Omegahedron, everything on Earth seems almost perfect …

Supergirl gets after it

Then boom!

Abandoning the bottle of champagne popped in celebration, Kara rips off her shirt, and flies off in classic Supergirl fashion to figure out what exploded. She and Martian Manhunter discover a pod that looks exactly like the one Kara Zor-El arrived on Earth in. As Supergirl opens the door, the screen cuts to black. Who could it be? Who’s in that pod?

Our money is on Superboy. Because how fitting and awesome would that be.

Superboy

Executive producer Andrew Kreisberg stayed mum when asked this question by Entertainment Weekly, but he revealed that this person in the pod “is going to play an important role in Season 2,” and that it will “definitely shake things up.”

There are so many to look forward to in Season 2, but since it has yet to be officially ordered by CBS, there’s very little information other than fun speculation about what’s to come next. Our only question: What’s the hold up, CBS? “Supergirl” is a fantastic series that only grew stronger with each episode. Give the fans what they want! They want more Supergirl.

Oops! She finally did it – Britney Spears impersonator Derrick Barry rules the ‘Drag Race’ runway

“It’s Derrick, bitch!”

Ever since Season 8 of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” premiered, Derrick Barry, who’s already notorious as one of the most successful drag impersonators in Las Vegas, stood out as the one the queen to beat.  A dead ringer for Britney Spears while in full drag — even Madonna has told him, “No! You’re Britney!” — Barry got his first taste of reality TV stardom while competing on “America’s Got Talent” back in 2008, and has only improved his “Baby, One More Time … ” skills since.

For those who don’t know, this is what Barry looks like out of drag. He’s adorable.

Instagram Photo

It’s impossible to separate one’s love for the pop princess and that for Barry. However, the “Slave 4 U” replicator couldn’t seem to find her rhythm in this competition. Fellow competitors such as the Bob the Drag Queen, with her hilarious personality, Kim Chi with her incredible make-up skills,  and Naomi Smalls, who’s emerging as a dark horse this season, have all given Barry flack for being a one-trick pony.

Derrick Barry performing as Britney Spears

RELATED: The real Acid Betty: Everything the ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ cameras didn’t show

During Snatch Game, Barry did Britney, which shocked no one. This was his prime opportunity to show off that he can do other things, and he let it pass. At the same time, if the competition is to impersonate a celebrity, it would’ve been crazy for him to do anyone else!

Instagram Photo

The early favorite has surprisingly found himself in the bottom nearly every week. Unable to show off “the soul” of Barry, not Britney, that the judges keep asking to see. Last week, he had to lip-synch for his life after sashaying down the runway in this “Wizard of Oz” atrocity.

Instagram Photo

Poor Robbie Turner didn’t have a chance dancing against this Spears fanatic.

Instagram Photo

But on Monday night’s (April 18) episode, “Shady Politics,” Barry stepped out of his Britney shell, and slayed the competition. Forced to team up with nemesis Bob the Drag Queen for the Maxi Challenge, the two were able to toss their differences aside and create a hysterical faux political smear campaign. Barry then worked the runway in a fierce black and white dress, foregoing his usual Britney blonde wig for a dark new look, and was this week’s drag champion.

RELATED: Who will win Season 8 of ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race?’ Naysha Lopez is rooting for Bob The Drag Queen

Faltering this week was Thorgy Thor. Thorgy is an incredibly funny queen. While she may not be the prettiest girl in the room, she excels at creating the most original and witty performances. After overthinking and under playing during this week’s challenge, Thorgy had to dancing for her like against Chi Chi DeVayne, whose street hood comes out in full force when the do-or-go-home pressure is on, leaving Thorgy in the dust.

Thorgy Thor Season 8 'RuPaul's Drag Race'

It’s a shame Thorgy was sent home this early. But the talent pool has reached that part of the season in which no one actually performs poorly. The queen that gets sent home is merely the one who just didn’t shine enough.

Barry’s at the top of his game right now and the other queens should be shivering in their stilettos. He’s showing both audiences and the judges that there’s much more to him than an amazing “Toxic” performance. He’s got the creativity, great dancing skills, and can sew a dress with the best of them. If he can keep this up, the Season 8 crown will be placed on Barry’s beautiful head.

“RuPaul’s Drag Race” airs Monday nights at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Logo.

The only thing better than having former “Vampire Diaries” actor Chris Wood back on TV is drinking while watching Chris Wood on TV.

On Tuesday (April 19), The CW premieres its new limited series “Containment,” in which the city of Atlanta gets split up and locked down in quarantine after a deadly and gruesome virus breaks out. Exploring themes of xenophobia, both the beautiful and ugly side of humanity that comes out when people are put in impossibly stressful situations and the political fall out, a few drinks with fun rules will help ease the intensity of this drama filled series.

Executive Producer Julie Plec says, “It’s a very long slow journey though the first season” with  a “subtle thread of conspiracy.” This show is a departure for Plec, who’s well-known for her hit supernatural series like “The Vampire Diaries” and “The Originals.” Based on the Belgian show, “Cordon,” “Containment” presents a non-supernational catastrophe, a viral outbreak that causes what could very well be a terrifying situation in real life.

So fill up your cups “Containment” fans! And cheers to having fun while a deadly mystery viral infection threatens to turn America into a dystopian disaster area.

Drink one sip:

Staying four to six feet away from each other is the safe distance in which you can avoid catching the virus. Why four to six feet? Why not just say five? Not sure, but no one questions it. Physical contact must be avoided at all costs for people trapped inside the infected area, and this “four to six feet” rule gets repeated often. So often, Wood even jokes about it on Instagram.

‘Containment’ is like ‘The Walking Dead’ without zombies

It's been over a year since The CW filmed the pilot of their new series "Containment," and on Tuesday (April 19), the show from executive producer Julie Plec ("The Vampire Diaries," "The Originals"), based on the Belgian series "Cordon," finally premiered. This "limited series event" wastes no time with pleasantries before a violently gruesome and deadly virus breaks out in Atlanta, Ga. The city is subsequently forced into quarantine zones to protect those unaffected, and to figure out how to treat this highly contagious disease.

RELATED: The ‘Containment’ premiere has arrived! Celebrate with this Chris Wood drinking game

The deadly virus on 'Containment'

If this sounds reminiscent of the hit AMC series "The Walking Dead," "Containment" star Chris Wood agrees. Zap2it spoke with Wood about this comparison, one he considers to be highly complimentary.

"I think the outbreak element, the whole sort of chaos in our world, that's the same," the 28-year-old actor says. But Wood, who plays cop Jake Riley on the series, also points out their major differences.

Other than obviously not having flesh-eating zombies as characters in "Containment," he says, "Our show deals less with the virus itself and more with the relationships inside and outside. In 'The Walking Dead' there is no outside-the-zombie-zone. Everyone is in it. So, [our show] has some politics at play."

David Gyasi on 'Containment'

An actual fence is erected by the CDC in order to keep the virus from spreading into a worldwide disaster. The series focuses on Atlanta Police Chief Alex (David Gyasi) who's trying to control the situation outside the cordon while his girlfriend Jana (Christina Marie Moses) is stuck inside. Then there's pregnant teen Teresa (Hanna Mangan Lawrence), whose boyfriend Xander (Demetrius Bridges) unknowingly gets trapped outside the fence when it goes up.

Teresa in 'Containment'

While on an ill-timed field trip visiting the city's hospital, single mother Katie (Kristen Gutoskie) gets trapped right in the thick of it. Not only is Katie then responsible for looking after her son, Quentin (Zachary Unger), she becomes unofficially in charge of taking care of Quentin's entire elementary school class. In addition to Dr. Cannerts (George Young) desperately trying to figure out a cure as soon as humanly possible inside the infected quadrant, there's a lingering sense of conspiracy of how this virus broke out in the first place happening on both sides of the fences.

"It's a long slow journey through the first season. How it unfolds. Who brought it here? What is it? We try not to stall ever - it's not a 'Lost'-sized mystery," Plec assures audiences. "It is an international situation, [but] it's a series grounded in humanity, [highlighting] both its ugly and beautiful sides.  You see people constantly faced with decisions they have to make in a crises situation. Will it bring out a side of you that you're proud of? Or a side that you hope to never see again?"

Audiences will have to wait and see how everything unfolds during the 13-episode limited series event.

"Containment" airs on Tuesday nights at 9 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
