America’s president and first lady joined professional ballroom dancers on Wednesday (March 23) while attending a state dinner hosted by Argentine President Mauricio Macri in Buenos Aires, and Barack Obama’s tango skills stole the show. With his intricate foot work, intense focus and natural rhythm, he easily took to the sensual technical style like no other POTUS ever has.

Sure, this may sound nuts, but POTUS has been showing off his moves for eight years. Here are some of his top performances that prove he’d be the one to beat if he joined the ABC dancing competition reality show.
In 2007, Obama couldn’t help but jam out on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” when Beyonce’s “Crazy in Love” played during his entrance. “You got the moves!” Ellen exclaims. Oh, we know, Ellen. WE KNOW!
While speaking at an event, Obama’s need to bust a move caused him to halt his speech the moment Snoop Dogg started playing in the background. Within seconds the entire audience started shouting in unison, “O-ba-ma!, O-ba-ma!”
Obama isn’t just a one-trick pony, either. He let the world know that his slow dance moves are on point while twirling around his favorite dance partner, Michelle, as Beyonce sang Etta James’ “At Last,” live in the background.
From Argentina to Kenya! Our current president didn’t miss a beat in July 2015 while visiting the African country, perfectly blending in while performing their native dance steps on stage in Nairobi.
Even superstar Jennifer Lopez clapped along when Obama joined Mexican singer Thalia on stage in 2009 during Fiesta Latina.
Age isn’t keeping the President down. The 54-year-old led these school kids in Alaska in a dance routine.
Perhaps the only person that could give Obama a run for his money on “Dancing with the Stars” would be his wife. The first lady rocked out on “Ellen” with a full-blown dance battle.
Maybe the Obamas could compete as a pair? We honestly can’t think a of a more awesome gig for America’s first couple to take on after their run at the White House comes to an end.
