Zap2it attended a special press screening of the upcoming “Supergirl” and “The Flash” crossover — PS. it’s going to be very awesome — on Thursday (March 24). Afterward, members of the press got to pick the brains of Executive Producers Andrew Kreisberg and Greg Berlanti about the special episode.

Many of the details may still be hush-hush, but it seems a classic DC comics actress is making her way to the CBS series. “We had the perfect role for Lynda Carter,”says Berlanti, “and we couldn’t work [it] out [because of] her schedule.” He adds, “That’s the biggest disappointment for me for this entire season.”
“We’re going to do it,” Kreisberg insists. “We’ll just do it next year.”
So, what role will the “Wonder Woman” actress be playing? Audiences should get ready for some serious girl power as Carter will be joining Kara Danvers (Melissa Benoist) and Cat Grant (Calista Flockhart) as “the female president of the United States.”

The CBS drama has had a lot fun incorporating past Superman related characters in different roles. There’s “Lois & Clark’s” Dean Cain, Helen Slater from 1984’s “Supergirl” movie and Laura Vandervoort, who took on the role of Kara in TV’s “Smallville.”
“Supergirl” airs on Monday nights at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.
