“I want Evan to be here,” JoJo Fletcher says during Monday night’s (June 6) episode of “The Bachelorette.”
Wait. Really, JoJo? Evan’s protein packing enemy Chad actually summed up our feelings on him perfectly: “No girl on planet Earth ever picks Evan for anything. Ever.”

Now, Evan is not a terrible guy per say, but he’s super creepy. It’s uncomfortable just watching him smile. The intensity permeating from Evan’s eyes makes it seem like he’s performing some sort of mental witchcraft to brainwash to JoJo into falling for him. The former pastor — now erectile dysfunction doctor with three kids — will hopefully find love again someday, but it’s definitely not going to be with JoJo. They are a terrible match.
Until JoJo figures that out for herself, Evan’s beef with Chad continues to heat up, leading Evan to give JoJo an ultimatum. He tells her that if she chooses to keep Chad around, he’s out. But then JoJo presents him with a rose, and asks him to to stick it out while she figures out what she wants to do. With 17 men still in the house, it’s a lot to process.
JoJo actually handles this situation really well. She tells Chad to his face that he’s being disrespectful after he calls her out for her seemingly incredulous decision for keeping the creeper around. Chad’s saying what we’re all thinking but put yourself in JoJo’s shoes. Her keeping Evan around is more of a “screw you” to Chad than an “I think I might be falling for Evan” move. Chad is not charming the pants off JoJo and she’d rather take her chances with a guy whose face makes the audience’s skin crawl than let Chad dictate whom she chooses to give a rose.
This is the JoJo show. Not the Chad show, okay?
During a really awkward group date in which the guys have to tell JoJo and an audience of strangers a funny sexual experience — who’s making up these dates, ABC? — Evan uses his stage time to call out Chad for his juiced up roid rage. To Evan’s credit, Chad did say earlier in the episode that when he doesn’t get to lift, he wants to murder someone …
The raw potato noshing Chad did not take the accusations kindly, and the tension becomes too much for Evan to handle. He approaches host Chris Harrison to have Chad kicked off the show. But after hearing Chad’s “I didn’t do anything, It’s all their problem,” response, Harrison decides to gives Chad the chance to ease the situation. How? He doesn’t specify.
But using Chad’s own rhetoric … no one should ever trust Chad to ease anything, ever. He doesn’t understand social cues or how to pick and choose his battles. To “ease” the situation, Chad walks to the back of the house, saying he wants the “rip legs and arms off theses guy’s bodies and throw their torsos into the pool.” Based on blood and tears in the previews for the next episode’s, this season’s first physical altercation is going to be a frightening one.
“Bachelorette Part 2” airs at a special time on Tuesday, June 7, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
