The presidential race currently featured on “Scandal” so closely mirrors what’s happening in real life, that’s it’s actually become quite boring. Seeing these exact kind of characters debate and campaign weekly has made the story a snoozefest and unfortunately for the ABC political drama, there’s nothing fresh about its current state.

If “Scandal” is so intent on plucking stories straight from the headlines, Zap2it has a few suggestions for the show. From “The Good Wife” feud, to figuring out the identity of January Jones’s baby daddy, prying minds need to know the answers. Can we get Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington) on these situations, stat?
Here are the three unresolved scandals we wish the Shonda Rhimes’ gladiator detectives could delve into.

Julianna Margulies and Archie Panjabi feud

These two actresses got along fine for years on CBS’s hit drama, “The Good Wife,” and then suddenly they refuse to film a scene together. What happened between that these two women couldn’t stand to be in the same room? How did things escalate to the point that Panjabi’s character — Kalinda Sharma — ended up getting kicked off?
When this news became public, Margulies told Vulture, “I’ve heard about [the feud]. Who says that? It’s totally gossip. I heard that question had been asked to [creator] Robert King. There’s no story there, sorry.” In response to that infamous scene — in which editors clearly used technical magic to split screen the actresses into the same shot — Margulies explained that “there’s difficulty … [Panjabi] was also doing another show, called ‘The Fall.’ I went along with whatever Robert asked me to do, and I did it happily.”
However, Panjabi fired back on Twitter at Margulies saying, “@TheFallTV was not even in production at that time and I was in New York ready to film the scene!”
As “The Good Wife” gears up to air its final episode, it appears that the real reason behind this feud may also get buried forever.
Who is January Jones’ baby daddy?

The “Mad Men” actress has been linked to so many men over the years including Ashton Kutcher, Jason Sudeikis, Josh Groban and most controversially to married man, Bobby Flay. Jones randomly called the celebrity chef for help after she crashed her Range Rover into several parked cars. While she alleges they only met one time before that incident, this already sounds like one murky scandal worth further investigation.
Is Flay the father of Jones’ son, Xander? The “Last Man on Earth” actress remains silent regarding who the baby daddy is, telling The Edit, “It’s just not something the public needs to know.”
It’s possible she doesn’t know, herself, yet Jones claims that she does. “When my son asks those questions, I want him to [hear it from me]. I don’t want him to be able to Google it.”
Indeed. For no kid wants to find out via Internet that his biological father was married to another woman at the time of his conception. Burn!
Katy Perry and Taylor Swift feud

Taylor Swift’s girl squad runs so deep that it’s truly a wonder as to what happened between her and fellow pop-star, Katy Perry. Apparently Swift’s song “Bad Blood” is about Perry.
The 25-year-old revealed to Rolling Stone that “she did something so horrible. I was like, ‘Oh, we’re just straight-up enemies.’ And it wasn’t even about a guy! It had to do with business. She basically tried to sabotage an entire arena tour. She tried to hire a bunch of people out from under me. And I’m surprisingly non-confrontational – you would not believe how much I hate conflict. So now I have to avoid her. It’s awkward, and I don’t like it.”
The day after the article hit, Perry sent out this tweet to her nearly 85 million followers:
Fans took notice that Swift had unfollowed three of her former dancers, (Lockhart Brownlie, Scott Myrick and Leah Adler), after they were apparently poached Perry for her “California Dreams” tour. The “1989” tour seemed to manage without them.
Perry has mostly kept mum on the feud situation but when Swift got caught up in beef with Nicki Minaj, the 32-year-old singer was quick to take the rapper’s side, tweeting out:
Minaj and Swift were able to make peace, so why can’t Perry and Swift? There has to be something more to this situation. Perhaps, it’s something to do with mutual ex, John Mayer?
Olivia Pope could definitely get to the bottom of all these stories, and “Scandal” desperately needs to move on from the redundant campaign drama. What say you, Shonda?
"Scandal" airs Thursday nights at 9 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
