Rumors have been swirling that Larry David might resurrect “Curb Your Enthusiasm” for a ninth season, and on Tuesday (June 14), HBO confirmed this pretty … pretty … pretty awesome news. It’s been five years since the show’s Season 8 finale aired, but fans of the beloved quirky comedy series never stopped hoping it would return some day.

Since “Curb” imitates David’s real life in an a fantastical over-the-top kind of way, it’s both curious and exciting to think about which celebrities will be jumping on board as guest stars. While we look forward to the return of regular cast members, J.B. Smoove, Cheryl Hines, Jeff Garlin and Susie Essman, here’s the Top 10 guest stars Zap2it hopes will join the comedic crew for Season 9.
Bernie Sanders
Getting this option out of the way first, because it’s not just an obvious choice, it’s a must-do. An entire episode could be devoted to the moment David realizes his uncanny resemble to the “YUGE” senator. It’s perfect storyline fodder, and since Sanders is no longer in the race for president, he should be able to find time to stop by the set.
Taylor Swift
For no other reason than it would be awesome to see Swift have a conversation about nothing with David. How hilarious would it be if they were actually good friends? The pop princess has no problem making fun of herself and she’s got the comedic chops to go toe-to-toe with David in a competition of self-deprecating sarcastic comments.
President Obama and Michelle
Even though a premiere date has yet to be set, it’s safe to assume Season 9 will be released after the Obamas have left the White House. Imagine David getting going out to dinner at the Obamas and how wonderfully horrible it would be. We’re excited just thinking about it.
John Oliver
“Last Week Tonight with John Oliver” is some of the funniest and most informative 30 minutes of TV every week, so it would be fitting that “Curb”s’ Larry David would abhor him. Maybe David gets asked to do a cameo on Oliver’s show or the two bump into each other at a party and it’s a mutual dislike. Whatever it is, any reason to have more of Oliver on TV is a great idea.
Amy Schumer
The same thing goes for Schumer. Any which way David could incorporate the comedian into the show would be awesome.
The Cast of ‘Seinfeld’
Bring them all back! There’s so something so special about seeing the “Seinfeld” cast together. Whatever needs to be done to make another reunion happen, do it HBO!
