On Monday (March 28), everyone thought April Fool’s Day had come early as the hard-to-digest news hit that “90210” star Jessica Lowndes was dating comedian Jon Lovitz. USA Today reported that the unlikely pair, who have known each other since working together on “Hawaii Five-0,” were now engaged. Yet, most people seemed to believe that the social media posts shared by the two were merely a sham to generate buzz for Lowndes’ new music video, “Deja Vu.”

Celebrity model, chef and mommy-to-be, Chrissy Teigen actually expressed everyone’s thoughts perfectly on Twitter:
For a while there, the status of this new (and bizarre) “It Couple” had neither been confirmed or denied. When Lowndes’ new track premiered, this “Pop-Up Video” inspired video soon follows, leaving even more people scratching their heads, wondering if their relationship was legit or a complete joke. Well, it didn’t take Lowndes long to clear up the confusion as she announced via Instagram, “I know it’s still the last week of March, but is it too early to say April Fools’?”
Yes. It is.
It’s safe to say only Lowndes and Lovitz are laughing as the music video completely misses the mark. In fact, it’s quite uncomfortable to watch. If you feel violated and confused, know that you are not alone. In case you prefer the Cliff’s Notes version, here at the five freakiest moments from “Deja Vu.”
1. Lowndes gives Lovitz the finger … literally.

2. Jon Lovitz’s pearl necklace dreams.

3. This PSA for all of pineapple juice’s health benefits.

4. This weird, lingering bedroom scene.

5. All the social media posts
The fifth most disturbing part of this whole freaky charade are the pictures Lowndes posted on Instagram. The one sending shivers down people’s spines is a Snapchat still with the caption,”His hands are wise and tell a thousand stories… #smitten #hatersgonnahate”
Is this a real engagement ring?
Does “#ExtraSprinklesPleaseDaddy” make anyone else cringe?
What is happening? Maybe Lowndes cast Lovitz in the video merely because she remembers his sweet Master Thespian skills from his “SNL” days …
