While the amazing combination of fabulousness that was threading “RuPaul’s Drag Race” with Fox’s “Empire” must be discussed, first thing’s first. The question that’s been burning in audience’s brains since last week’s double elimination must be answered: Which queen did RuPaul call to return to the show?

Ladies and gentleman, welcome back the beautiful Naysha Lopez. Originally sent home during week one of Season 8, the decision to give Lopez another shot couldn’t feel more right after watching both Laila McQueen and Dax ExclamationPoint flounder far below her talents while lip-synching for their lives last week.
From there, the drama heated up and got served fresh out the oven as this week’s challenge had all the contestants channeling their inner Cookie Lyon from “Empire.” With the help of guest judges Faith Evans, singer/songwriter and wife of the late Notorious B.I.G., along with the actress who plays Cookie’s sister on “Empire,” Tasha Smith, the queens were divided into two groups to act out scenes replicating the hip-hop show.
This week’s challenge winner, Bob the Drag Queen, slayed as Cookie. Stripping off her fur coat to reveal a head-to-toe sparkling body suit, while ad-libbing jokes along the way, she was by far this week’s top performer.
Sadly, this week had two very talented ladies lip-synching for their lives at the end: Cynthia Lee Fontaine, who stole everyone’s heart last week after Kim Chi fell on the runway and she exclaimed with such passion, “My heart fell to my cu-cu!”, and Robbie Turner, who literally roller-skated circles around Fontaine while lip-synching to Faith Evans’ “Mesmerize,” forcing RuPaul to send home everyone’s favorite Puerto Rican princess, Fontaine.
Monday’s elimination had everyone wishing that RuPaul would somehow decide to do the opposite of what she did last week, and send neither contestant home.
But that’s just not how the cookie crumbles on “Drag Race,” and every goodbye from here on out will only get harder after saying “Sayonara” to Fontaine’s “cu-cu.”
“RuPaul’s Drag Race” airs Monday nights at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Logo.
